 The pre-Columbian architecture

The pre-Columbian architecture. The 12 of October of 1492 Cristóbal Columbus stepped on territories of America and a policy of conquests began therefore that destroyed great amount of native cultures. All these cultures - colonized by Spain, Portugal and England, mainly they are known with the name pre-Columbian, and it is possible to be said that they disappeared almost totally under the power of the European empires.

The two great areas where the most fertile cultures of America were developed were Mesoamérica - Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize and the Salvador and the center of the $andes - Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador. On the other hand, the nomadic tribes of the north of America did not get to make permanent constructions, although some civilizations nearer the Mesoamericans cultural centers, like the Indians mokis or town of Sonant, Arizona and New Mexico, constructed with stone and marinates. These American indigenous towns initiated their declivity towards year 1300 but still rest of their rock architectures and some towns are conserved.
