 The Babylonian architecture.

The Babylonian architecture. Architecture of the Chaldean empire or neon - Babylonian Nabopolassar put the foundations of a new tower of Babel. Old authors say that the square base of this tower measured 185 meters of side and that its peak was raised to 204 meters of the ground.

The modern archaeologists mention more modest dimensions: 92 meters wide, having 6 floors stepped and crowned by a temple had with tiles. It is not left to anything of her, single the Arab bricks that joined Loa to construct part of Baghdad. The hanging gardens of Babylonia, probably constructed by king Nabucodonosor II towards the 600 a. C., consisted of a series of landscaped terraces that formed an artificial mountain species.

Baroque architecture.
In the middle of century XVII they began to show changes in the architecture of Mexico. There was a tension between the most preservative architects and those than wanted to innovate introducing baroque elements that they came from Europe and were introducing in the field of the poetry with Sister Juan Ines de la Cruz. In these works the fusion between the Spanish baroque style and the native takes place. The architecture for Pedro Henríquez Ureña is very important because in the arts it is where it is possible to be observed the nationalism and the native peculiarity. Ureña in its test says that the Americans have a series of original characteristics that them difference of the world, and this can be observed until in the architecture "... our towns know, as much as the United States, be created in few days formidable beehives, new types of city which they differ radically from the European, and until undertaking, like Rio de Janeiro, feats no anticipated by the North American large cities". The Baroque one does not arise jointly with century XVIII, but that has a series of precedents in the last quarter of the previous century, which we could fit neither within the Renaissance nor the Baroque one. IL Gesù (1568-1584).

Here we have Il Gesù, first house of the Company of Jesus, founded by San Ignacio de Loyola, one of you order them arisen with the Counter reform. This church is initiated in 1568 and consecrated in 1584. It was financed by Alexander Farnecio, nephew of Paulo III, being ordered to the best Italian architect to the death of Miguel Angel, Vignola. This one was the preferred architect of the Pope and architect of camera of the Farnesio. To the margin of the architecture he was also treater, publishing in 1562 the five books of Architecture. Up to 1568 the model of plant centralized, having made Vignola several works according to this one was enough frequent, but in this work the longitudinal plant is imposed, when considering itself the plant centralized like susceptible of paganism. Thus one becomes to considered the longitudinal plants to the being like traditional. On the other hand, the precedent of San Andres de Mantua, of Alberty exists, like a model typephic clearly and that it is imposed to Vignola. With this plant a great capacity looked for and to reflect the form de la Cruz, also allowing the celebration of several masses you synchronize in the chapels. On the other hand, with this plant one looked for to reflect a clear Christian tradition.
